In 2007, Pete published his book “The UnAmerican Undiet: A Cure For The American Diet Problem, By A Comedian, Not A Communist,” a story of his transformation to a leaner, healthier person.
How is an undiet different than a diet? It’s a lifestyle. It’s what you need when you’re tired of dieting, and failing.
Why UnAmerican? Just as you probably read somewhere else, I heard that Americans had become the fattest people in the world. I took a step back and asked myself how I could avoid that fate myself. (the big secret turns out to be french fries and soda. I’m not claiming to have made a huge scientific breakthrough.)
What’s different about this book? To this day, I still haven’t come across a lot of books about health and fitness that were written with the goal of being funny. As a stand-up comedian who’s in good shape (a true rarity), I felt like I had a unique perspective.
Pete has had a lot of jobs, most of which have involved telling someone else his opinion on what to do and/or how to do it.
Since 2005, Pete has performed this well-honed skill from the stage of various stand-up comedy clubs. His time as a reality TV producer, a user interface designer, and a professional organizer give him one of the most unique perspectives in stand-up.

During the second season of TLC’s Clean Sweep, Pete was given pivotal responsibilities in the daily operations of the show. To this day, he does not know what those responsibilities were.
Working up from the dregs of production assistantship, Pete was promoted to project manager of the reality show Clean Sweep.
Out of college, Pete’s film degree landed him entry level jobs along side the most talented high school drop outs. He worked on unforgettable reality TV shows like “Average Joe” and “Clean Sweep”, all the way up to critics’ favorites like Big Momma’s House 2.
Pete spent several years of his twenties putting together and testing machinery for the US Postal Service. No, this is not a joke.
